A British crime writer with a practical eye for detail, he builds detective thrillers around the messy choices people make under pressure. His books mix police procedure, personal stakes, and a grounded, everyday realism.

Before publishing fiction, he spent years researching widely across books, magazines, documentaries, films, and online sources while also taking a creative writing course and attending workshops with the Nottingham Writers Studio.
He published his first crime thriller, Loose Cannon, in 2016. In interviews, he has described drawing on old colleagues and acquaintances when shaping characters, which helps give his stories a lived-in feel.
His work centers on crime fiction, including the Detective Joe Stone series. The result is fast-moving suspense with familiar human tensions at the core rather than flashy spectacle.
