J. Bradford (Joseph Bradford) Cox

Joseph Bradford Cox, who published as J. Bradford Cox, lived from 1840 to 1884. Public-domain library records identify him under both forms of his name, which is how his work is commonly cataloged today.

He appears to be one of those authors who survive more in library listings than in detailed modern biographies.
