Born in Maury County, Tennessee, on February 8, 1905, Harris Jeremiah Dark became a minister in the Churches of Christ and spent much of his life preaching in Tennessee. A biographical account of his life notes his long connection to Franklin Road in Murfreesboro, and records his death there on September 19, 1984.
Dark also wrote religious books and sermon collections. Confirmed works include Give Us A King (published in 1950), The Bible and the Catholic Claim (1956), and God Hath Spoken, a book later made available through Project Gutenberg.
