Born Clara Hettler in the Bronx on June 17, 1916, she wrote under the name Garen Lewis Drussai. She became known as an American writer of science fiction and mystery, building a body of work that was especially active in the 1950s.
Drussai published short fiction in well-known genre magazines, and her name is often linked with The Twilight Years, a science fiction story co-written with Kirk Drussai.
