About the author

Born Friedrich Müller in Munich on February 24, 1875, he later became known by the pen name Fritz Müller-Partenkirchen. After commercial training, he worked in business and education, including periods as an accountant, foreign correspondent, secretary, and teacher of commerce. He also spent time studying economics and law in Zurich before turning fully toward literature.

His writing often drew on the world he knew well: trade, office work, and middle-class professional life. In the 1920s he adopted the name Müller-Partenkirchen and published novels and stories, frequently with a light or humorous touch. His most successful novel is generally noted as Kramer & Friemann. Eine Lehrzeit (1920).

He died on February 4, 1942, in Hundham, Bavaria. Reliable biographical sources confirm his career and literary reputation, but I could not confirm a suitable portrait image from the pages I checked, so no author photo is included here.
