About the author

Friedrich Köhn was a German author associated with Low German, also known as Plattdeutsch. The Plattmakers author database lists him with the dates 1863–1938 and gives Penzlin as his birthplace and Garwitz as the place where he died.

The same source credits him with a single work, Sünndagsklocken. A record in the German Digital Library connects him to Sünndagsklocken: Stadt- un Dörp-Predigten and describes it as a collection gathered with a High German foreword, suggesting a strong link between his writing and the religious as well as linguistic life of northern Germany.

Because biographical information about him is limited in the sources I could confirm, only a sketch of his life is possible. Even so, the available record suggests a writer whose work helped preserve Low German in print and reflect the sound of local culture.
