About the author
Born to Presbyterian missionary parents in Lebanon, Donald D. McCall built a life that combined ministry, scholarship, and public service. Biographical notes published with his books describe studies at Hastings College and at institutions including Princeton, Glasgow, Yale, Edinburgh, and Oxford.
He served for 19 years as senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Rochester, Minnesota, and was also a member of the Mayo Clinic IRB. In addition to his church work, he served on the Nebraska State Board of Parole, taught homiletics as an adjunct professor, and was a retired U.S. Navy commander as well as a Korean War veteran.
