About the author

After losing her father unexpectedly at 19, she experienced the force of grief early and deeply. That experience later became part of the foundation for her work, which is focused on supporting people through mourning and helping make grief less taboo in everyday life.

She holds a doctorate in German literature and has worked in a striking range of roles, including barista, ghostwriter, editor, coordinator of a doctoral program, and advisor for doctoral researchers. That mix of academic training and varied real-world experience gives her writing a thoughtful but grounded voice.

Today she is based in Berlin and works as a grief guide, funeral speaker, and trainer through her project ALL YOU CAN GRIEVE. Her authorial perspective is shaped by both scholarship and lived experience, with an emphasis on creating space for sorrow, remembrance, and honest conversation.
