A little-known science fiction writer and fan, he published stories in the pulp-magazine world and stayed active in fan circles for years.

by Bob Farnham
Bob Farnham was an American science fiction fan and writer who is remembered today mainly for a small body of magazine fiction. Project Gutenberg lists Old Shag as a story by Bob Farnham and notes that it originally appeared in Worlds of If Science Fiction in March 1960.
A fan-history source, Fancyclopedia 3, describes him as being from Chicago and later Georgia, and says he was a long-time member of the National Fantasy Fan Federation and the Southern Fandom Group. The same source says he helped with the N3F Correspondence Bureau, attended several Worldcons, and sold a few stories to magazines associated with Ray Palmer.
Reliable biographical information about him appears to be quite limited, so many personal details are hard to confirm. I also could not confirm a suitable portrait image from the sources I found.
