Born on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas, Bill Clinton studied at Georgetown University, won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford, and later earned a law degree from Yale. Before reaching the White House, he built his career in Arkansas politics, serving as the state's attorney general and then as governor.

Clinton was elected the 42nd president of the United States and served from 1993 to 2001. His presidency is often remembered for a long period of economic growth, as well as for major political battles and the impeachment process that ended with his acquittal in the Senate.

After leaving office, he remained active in public life through speeches, writing, and the Clinton Foundation. He is also known for his long political partnership with Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom he met while studying at Yale.
