Arthur K. Barnes

Arthur K. Barnes was an American science fiction writer who lived from 1909 to 1969. He wrote mainly for pulp magazines in the 1930s and 1940s, and reference sources credit him in particular for colorful, convincing portrayals of alien life.

He is often associated with the energetic magazine science fiction of that era, when short stories and serials were a major part of the field. His work helped build his reputation among readers of classic pulp SF, and he continues to be noted in genre reference listings and biographical sources.
