About the author

Born in Zikhron Ya'akov in 1888, he was part of the well-known Aaronsohn family, whose members were deeply involved in public life in Ottoman Palestine. Reliable sources describe him as an author and Zionist activist, and note that he died in Nice, France, in 1948.

He is chiefly remembered for writing With the Turks in Palestine, a book about conditions in Palestine during the Ottoman period. Reference works also connect him with Benei Binyamin, an association founded to support and rebuild Jewish agricultural settlements.

Although not as widely known today as some of his relatives, his writing offers a firsthand perspective on a turbulent era. For readers interested in memoir, history, and the political world of the eastern Mediterranean in the early 20th century, his work remains an illuminating starting point.
