Description

A frail young man lies on the brink of death in a cramped London flat, his fate tangled in a web of indifferent lawyers, a weary doctor, and a fiercely protective Mrs Dunn. Their heated debate over medicine, money, and a hopeful escape to a warmer clime sets the stage for a desperate plan: send the boy abroad before the winter steals his last breath. The conversation crackles with dry humor and bitter sarcasm, hinting at the absurdities of bureaucracy even as it underscores a tender, almost parental love.

Enter a wiry guide from the east, a man named Yussuf, who promises a journey across the rugged mountains of Asia Minor. He offers the sick youth a chance at fresh air, strange landscapes, and encounters with nomadic bandits whose code is as unpredictable as the terrain. The story balances lyrical travelogue with the urgency of a race against time, inviting listeners to follow a fragile hope through unfamiliar valleys and daring escapades.
