Description

The story opens on a luminous evening in 1529, when a young courtier stands on the terrace of Windsor Castle and gazes over the sprawling Home Park. Beneath ancient oaks and through sun‑dappled glades, deer wander, hunters and falconers pass, and a minstrel’s melody drifts on the breeze, painting a vivid picture of Tudor life. Amid this tranquil scene, the youth, described with striking detail, feels an inexplicable pull toward the shadowed edge of the forest, where the legendary Herne the Hunter is said to haunt the great oak.

As he steps away from the castle walls, the young man encounters the keeper Morgan Fenwolf and his loyal hounds, hinting at deeper mysteries hidden in the woods. The narration weaves together the natural beauty of Windsor’s landscape with whispers of old folklore, setting the stage for an adventure that will test courage and curiosity. Listeners are invited to follow the young protagonist into a world where history and myth intertwine.
