A cramped, high‑speed tube slithers beneath the Andes, its passengers confined in a metal gut that promises safety and speed. When the State Secret Police—known as the Bupo—board the carriage, tension snaps like a taut wire, and the watchful officer surveys the crowd with practiced suspicion. The atmosphere crackles with a mix of routine travel and underlying dread, especially for the engineer who helped design the very system they’re riding.
An abrupt, violent jolt throws the capsule into darkness, leaving the Bupo officer sprawled on the carpet and the whole vessel frozen fifteen metres under the earth. The survivors scramble to tend wounds, share nervous jokes about a “cow on the track,” and search for an explanation as the tube’s sensors go silent. As panic whispers through the dim cabin, each character’s skill and fear surface, setting the stage for a desperate struggle to uncover what lurked in the tunnel and how they might escape.
