A mist‑shrouded river of the dead winds through a moonlit landscape where golden dragonflies hover above the water’s surface and ancient trees loom like silent sentinels. Here Lemminkäinen, the restless wanderer, arrives on a lonely shore, his thoughts tangled with songs of sorrow and hope. The atmosphere crackles with choral chants that echo the ancient myths, setting a tone both haunting and strangely beautiful.
From the shadows a solitary shepherd steps forward, his presence a challenge that stirs the air with the promise of conflict. He demands battle, invoking the spirits of the northern peoples and the restless souls that linger by the river’s edge. Lemminkäinen, though drawn to the shepherd’s fierce intensity, hesitates to draw his sword, preferring words and song over bloodshed. Their exchange, rich with poetic duels and vivid imagery, hints at a larger struggle that will test the hero’s resolve without yet revealing its final outcome.
