Description

In a glittering palace of the distant third millennium, a cadre of strangers gathers beneath gold‑mosaic walls and a mysterious, curtain‑shrouded stage. Among them, Billy Kingdon, a young engineer‑turned‑air‑captain, meets the stern chief steward Tuttle, who checks his credentials amid rumors of recent anarchist attacks. The tension is heightened by Helena, Billy’s former lover, whose uneasy reunion hints at hidden loyalties and looming danger.

As the night deepens, Billy reveals a daring plan involving a massive new aircraft that could shift the balance of power, while Helena wrestles with her marriage and the threats posed by her powerful father. Their whispered scheming is watched by officials, poets, and a scheming archbishop, creating a tangled web of personal ambition and political intrigue. Listeners are drawn into a world where love, rebellion, and the promise of flight intersect, setting the stage for a struggle that could change the fate of an entire kingdom.
