TIME FOR SURVIVAL
A time-traveling historian from the Twenty-Second Century has stowed away aboard the Mary Celeste, hoping to witness an obscure moment in history and secure the fame that comes with documenting it firsthand. His carefully planned expedition takes an unexpected turn when the crew discovers him—and an impossible object appears alongside the nineteenth-century vessel.
What begins as a chance to observe the past becomes something far more complicated. Future technicians arrive with advanced recording equipment, treating the Mary Celeste’s fate as a staged historical production and rearranging evidence for the cameras. Caught between the sailors of 1872 and the time travelers determined to preserve—or manufacture—the perfect mystery, the historian must figure out what is authentic, what is performance, and how to survive when history itself becomes a dangerous set.
