Description

In the shadow of towering volcanoes on a remote Pacific port, a weary sailor steps off a French war schooner and finds a town suspended between sleep and storm. The humid streets are lined with boarded houses, palm‑shaded plazas, and a lone, tattooed man who watches the surf with a restless gaze. As he drifts through taverns and market stalls, he begins to sense a tangled web of smugglers, rival captains, and a mysterious wreck that has already stirred whispered rumors.

The narrative follows his uneasy partnership with a charismatic but secretive crew, as they negotiate dangerous currents of commerce and revenge. Along the way, colorful characters—from a native queen to a scheming merchant—offer glimpses of colonial life and the raw allure of the islands. Listeners will be drawn into a vivid tableau of wind‑blown harbors, clandestine deals, and the ever‑present threat of the sea that promises both salvation and ruin.
