Description

In the dim alleys of early twentieth‑century New York, a figure known only as the White Moll slips through shadows, her reputation whispered among thieves and hustlers. When a petty thief snatches her purse, she confronts him with calm defiance, demanding its return before disappearing back into the night. The encounter sparks a brief flash of recognition—“De White Moll!”—that reminds her how the name has eclipsed her true identity, Rhoda Gray, in the underworld’s relentless ledger. As she walks past flickering saloon doors and the distant rumble of an elevated train, the city’s grim labyrinth feels both a refuge and a trap.

Beyond that first daring moment, the story unfurls into a tangled web of secret meetings, coded messages, and rival gangs jockeying for power. The White Moll must navigate alliances with fellow thieves while staying one step ahead of lawmen and double‑crossing crooks alike. Listeners are drawn into a gritty portrait of loyalty, deception, and survival, where every narrow street could lead to a new danger—or a vital clue.
