After a cataclysmic explosion shatters Earth, only Pilot Officer Roy Vanjan and the reclusive Dr. Garfield Gar remain afloat in a lonely space station. The two share a weary camaraderie, sipping the last of the station’s peach brandy while the shattered view outside shows only dust and steam where the planet once was. In this bleak silence, the older scientist reveals a hidden purpose: to use a temporal device that can be attached to Roy’s craft and send him back to a pivotal moment in humanity’s mythic past.
Gar proposes a paradoxical task—fly into the era of the great flood and strafe Noah’s Ark, eliminating every human passenger while sparing the animals inside. Roy, trained for obedience, weighs the moral weight of erasing his own lineage against the promise of a cleaner world for the surviving creatures. The mission promises dangerous precision, a strange blend of science and ancient legend, and a chance to rewrite the very foundations of life itself.
