Along the way he discovers a world of noisy pubs, flower‑adorned hats, and a bureaucratic agricultural society that tests his patience and convictions.

Back home, Fluellyn returns with a massive black Berkshire boar, a creature of impressive lineage but unmistakable stubbornness. The boar’s cantankerous temperament clashes with the farmer’s lofty expectations, setting the stage for a series of humorous attempts to tame the beast and prove the community’s worth.
