Description

A bustling early‑twentieth‑century film set becomes the backdrop for a witty, behind‑the‑scenes look at Hollywood’s wildest ambitions. When seasoned director Luck Lindsay wraps up a shoot with a troupe of actor‑Indians on the Pine Ridge reservation, he must balance the practicalities of filmmaking with the uneasy camaraderie he’s forged with his cast. The scene is set with colorful rehearsals, authentic costumes, and a touch of bittersweet farewell as the troupe prepares to return home.

The story then shifts as Luck rides toward his next assignment, confronting the clash between genuine cultural portrayal and the commercial demands of the Acme Film Company. Along the way, he encounters skeptical producers, eccentric crew members, and the lingering scent of tepee fires that follows him like a reminder of his recent work. Listeners are drawn into a world where ambition, humor, and the quest for authenticity collide, promising further entanglements on the road to the next picture.
