Description

Nestled on a green promontory in an unnamed English county, the village of Colester has stayed insulated from the clatter of railways and tourists. When American Mr. Richard Pratt moves into the eerie Nun’s House, his friendly Yankee demeanor meets a community that still guards medieval suspicions of outsiders. Led by a stoic vicar and the manor’s matriarch Mrs. Gabriel, the villagers keep their ancient customs close‑guarded, even as Pratt’s generous purse fails to win their trust.

Soon Pratt becomes drawn into a baffling series of events – whispered legends of an ancient pagan cup, strange disappearances, and a sudden feud that threatens to split the tight‑knit community. The tranquil landscapes mask hidden motives, and as the village elder’s secrets surface, even the local detective finds his methods tested. Listeners are invited to follow Pratt’s uneasy alliance with the villagers as they untangle loyalty, superstition, and the shadow of the cup that may hold the key to their future.
