Description

Adam Salton, a restless young man raised in the Australian outback, receives an unexpected invitation from his great‑uncle Richard Salton, who lives on the estate of Lesser Hill in England. Eager to reconnect with a branch of his family he has only heard about in distant stories, Adam boards a ship for the first time and travels across seas and countryside, where the old‑world scenery feels both alien and inviting. Their first meeting aboard the vessel is warm and earnest, a blend of curiosity and the promise of a new life in a land steeped in tradition.

Yet the quiet manor hides more than genteel hospitality; rumors of a mysterious white worm that haunts the surrounding moors have lingered for generations. As Adam settles into the grounds, he discovers cryptic letters, strange sightings, and an unsettling sense that the Salton lineage may be bound to something far older and darker than he imagined. Listeners are drawn into a tale where family loyalty, hidden histories, and a lurking menace intertwine, setting the stage for an atmospheric adventure.
