Description

A weather‑worn sailor narrates his latest venture to a remote island encircled by an unbroken reef, where ancient stone stairs still climb toward enigmatic platforms. The calm dawn is shattered when he discovers the lifeless body of a gentleman‑ly aristocrat, a polished dueling pistol still clenched in his hand, and a sealed envelope addressed to a mysterious lady. The scene is rendered with a mix of quiet horror and the lingering respect the narrator feels for his fallen companion, hinting that the death may be tied to a long‑kept secret.

Beyond the grave, the island’s silent altars, grotesque stone deities, and the promise of a forgotten buccaneer’s bequest lure the explorer deeper into the jungle. A cryptic letter, the whispered legends of hidden treasure, and the ever‑present danger of the island’s treacherous terrain set the stage for a quest that will test loyalty, courage, and the thin line between curiosity and doom. Listeners are invited to follow the uneasy footsteps of those who dared to climb the stairs before them.
