Description

A young officer named Hamil finds himself adrift in a mist‑enshrouded gulf, the sea glimmering beneath a veil of fog and the distant shore flickering like a dream. As his oar‑driven skiff cuts through the silver‑capped waves, he watches a lone swimmer in a bright red kerchief draw ever closer, hinting at an unexpected encounter. The tranquil tableau is suddenly shattered when a sudden jolt sends his boat capsizing, forcing Hamil to grapple with both the violent sea and the mysterious passenger who lands aboard.

Beyond the immediate chaos, the narrative unfolds as Hamil navigates the tightrope between duty and desire, his thoughts drifting between the camaraderie of the Ariani and the whispered promises of intrigue on land. The opening chapters blend vivid, almost cinematic descriptions of the Gulf‑stream’s shifting light with an undercurrent of strategic tension, setting the stage for a larger conflict that will test his resolve. Listeners are drawn into a world where every gust of wind and every distant call of a pelican may signal either peace or the first spark of a broader war.
