The Color of Space
Dr. Henshaw awakens to discover that he has been kidnapped by Godonoff, a Russian agent determined to obtain his secret scientific process. Trapped in a strange metal chamber, Henshaw is told that Russia has developed a substance capable of neutralizing gravity—and has used it to lift enormous buildings from cities around the world. With Europe on the brink of war and entire nations gripped by panic, the stakes of his refusal have suddenly become far greater than he imagined.
When the chamber’s shutters open, Henshaw sees a sky crowded with stars and learns that he is traveling far beyond Earth aboard one of Russia’s immense experimental machines. His captor offers freedom in exchange for cooperation, but Henshaw must first decide how much of Godonoff’s astonishing story he can believe. This brisk science-fiction adventure combines daring technology, international intrigue, and the unsettling wonder of a journey into space.
