HÁROM EGYFELVONÁSOS
In this brisk, one‑act satire the audience is invited behind the velvet curtains of a 1920s Budapest theatre, just moments before the opening of a performance of King Lear. The stage is a hive of laborers, firemen, a meticulous master of scenery and a scattering of actors, all bustling to perfect the set while a mysterious voice calls for “Ramaszéder.” Light, sound and prop checks become a choreography of absurdity, revealing the fragile line between artistry and mayhem.
Amid the commotion, the harried stage manager Bánáti darts from wing to wing, demanding that the costume‑tailor Somogyi locate a missing gentleman named Almády. His nerves spike as he whispers of a revolver and two unseen pursuers, turning a routine dress‑rehearsal into a frantic chase. The play balances sharp wit with a growing sense of tension, leaving listeners eager to see how the backstage drama will echo the tragedy about to unfold onstage.
