When the star‑ship Mizar sputters out its last fuel, veteran explorer Jupiter Jones is forced to make an emergency landing on a scorching, jungle‑clad world orbiting an orange K‑type sun. The planet’s atmosphere hints at oxygen and water, but its surface is a tangled wilderness of deep valleys, sheer mountains, and a lone medieval‑looking city perched by a crystal river. Stripped of his crew and with only a battered robot co‑pilot, Jones must decide whether to reveal himself to an alien culture—or remain hidden while he searches for a way home.
The landing leaves a swathe of charred forest behind the craft, and the air hums with whispered legends of “knights in shining armor” the mutating natives mutter. Armed only with his wits, a rusty plasma blade, and hope that the mysterious “Sword of Fire” might turn the tide, Jones begins to navigate a world where primitive tech and terrifying octopod predators clash. Listeners are drawn into a tense blend of classic space‑opera and frontier survival as the stranded explorer confronts both external monsters and the darkness of his own past.
