High above the Pacific, a speck of land flickers into view like a reverse mirage—an island that seems to exist only part of the time. Pilot Bill Parker and his uneasy passengers, the brutish Retch and the striking Mercedes Valdar, are drawn to it by a promise of revenge, discovery, or something else they cannot name. As the helicopter thunders toward the shoreline, tension crackles between the armed Retch and the enigmatic secretary, whose perfume and fierce excitement hint at hidden agendas.
The moment they near the shore, a sudden failure tears a blade from the rotor, sending the craft into a chaotic spin. Parker’s quick reflexes and a makeshift inflatable raft become the crew’s only chance as the aircraft plummets into the sea. With the island looming nearby and the true purpose of their mission still cloaked in secrecy, the survivors must confront both the unforgiving ocean and the unknown forces that made the island appear.
