Description

In a seaside New England town where May always drizzles, a couple has turned the relentless rain into a tradition: an annual house‑party that masquerades as a play called “Rainy Week.” Their guests, an eclectic mix of pretentious amateurs and reluctant participants, arrive with expectations as varied as the weather—some demanding a script, others refusing any cue, and a few insisting on theatrical kisses while others will not permit them at all. The host’s small, seemingly dull friend Rollins becomes the unexpected spark, turning ordinary conversation into bold, absurd provocation the moment the thunder rolls.

What begins as a light‑hearted experiment in “amateur theatricals” quickly reveals the fragile line between performance and real emotion. As rooms fill with smoky fireplaces, rain‑spattered windows, and a chorus of whispered secrets, tensions rise and hidden desires surface, all under the guise of a harmless, weather‑bound comedy. Listeners are invited to watch the first act unfold, where the play’s very premise threatens to collide with the very lives of its players.
