Description

The story follows four restless boys who set off on a winter trek across the wilds of Canada, their sled creaking under bundles of gear as they chase the call of moose and caribou. Phil leads the pack with a steady confidence, while X‑Ray Tyson provides quick jokes, Ethan Allen talks about his prized rooster, and the hefty Lub Fenwick keeps the others from toppling off the sled. Their banter and easy camaraderie turn the harsh, snow‑strewn landscape into a playground for daring exploits.

Soon the boys must trade chatter for skill, learning to fish through ice with tip‑ups and to outwit a sudden bear encounter that tests their nerves. Along the way they stumble upon a lone child hidden in the forest, adding a note of mystery to their adventure. As night falls they gather around a fragrant camp fire, plotting the next leg of their journey while the northern winds whisper promises of more challenges ahead.
