One out of ten
**one
On a lively television quiz show, host Jim Parsons expects Mrs. Freda Dunny to provide a harmless joke for the audience. Instead, the cheerful contestant claims she came from Mars, has lived on Earth for decades, and is waiting for the signal to begin an invasion. She even insists that millions of Martians are already hiding among ordinary Americans—and that she can read Jim’s thoughts to answer every question.
At first, Jim treats the strange performance as a publicity stunt, but Mrs. Dunny’s confidence is unsettling, especially when she reveals that Martians possess powers of telepathy and thought control. Her casual explanation raises an alarming possibility: anyone nearby could be one of them, perhaps without even knowing it. Blending television satire, science fiction, and growing paranoia, this short adventure turns an ordinary game show into a disturbing test of identity, loyalty, and the limits of human perception.
