Mission

A strange cylinder descends onto a quiet grassy plain, bringing Krai, an alien explorer whose search for intelligent life has led him to Earth. Small, heavily equipped, and adapted to a world of thin air, Krai finds the planet’s gravity and atmosphere manageable—but its inhabitants seem primitive, living in houses built high among the trees.

Armed with a portable pressure projector, Krai approaches the unsuspecting village with a carefully prepared mission. To the tree-dwellers, he is an unseen force of destruction: buildings collapse, panic spreads, and their attempts to gather for safety only place them in greater danger. Yet the opening scene hints that Krai’s arrival is not the only mystery on the plain, where two motionless figures lie near his glowing spacecraft. As the alien begins his work, questions emerge about his true purpose, the nature of his orders, and whether this seemingly helpless world may contain more than he expects.
