Description

In the quiet outskirts of a modest 17th‑century village, a faded yellow house stands beside a narrow creek, its wooden shutters still tinged green. Inside, a frail, widowed woman tends the hearth while her son, Filip, a restless nineteen‑year‑old full of restless energy, dreams of the open sea. Their daily routine is haunted by a mysterious locked chamber that has remained sealed for seventeen years, its purpose whispered only in hushed, uneasy tones.

Filip’s yearning to escape the bleak winter of hunger clashes with his mother’s desperate pleas to keep him close, fearing the sea will claim him as it once took his father. The tension between duty and adventure builds as the boy insists on uncovering the secret of the forbidden room, hinting that its hidden treasure might hold the key to their survival. The story unfolds against a richly painted backdrop of rustic life, familial love, and the looming promise of danger beyond the village’s calm waters.
