Description

In a cramped jury room, a dozen boisterous men shuffle into place, each a caricature of a courtroom archetype. The foreman, Peleg Precise, strives for order while his fellow jurors—ranging from the nervous Timorous to the boisterous Jarvis Jolly—bicker, shuffle papers, and argue over the very shape of their verdicts. Their rapid-fire exchanges, absurd wordplay, and physical comedy turn the solemn business of justice into a lively, chaotic tableau that feels more like a stage play than a legal proceeding.

Amid the pandemonium, the jurors must decide the fate of Peter Popgun, accused of dodging taxes by allegedly manufacturing gunpowder in a country store. As evidence of secret chemicals and a dubious “Medical Dead Shot” medicine slides across the table, the men’s personalities clash, revealing both petty rivalries and surprising alliances. Listeners are invited to watch the humor unfold as order teeters on the brink, and the verdict hangs in the balance.
