Faith Killer
Dr. Reed Fassin trusts science, hard evidence, and the laws of motion—and he has little patience for faith healers. When a detour brings him to a mountain town, he discovers a shabby storefront crowded with desperate patients, including people suffering from conditions he knows to be incurable. The healer is an unimposing woman who offers no grand performance, only a basin of water, a few blunt words, and results that have already unsettled Fassin’s respected colleague.
Determined to expose what he considers dangerous suggestion and medical fraud, Fassin watches the healer at work. Yet the cases before him resist easy explanations, forcing him to confront a question he would rather dismiss: can belief alter the body, or is something far stranger taking place? This classic tale of medical skepticism and occult possibility builds its tension through the clash between clinical reason and the mysteries of human faith.
