Doorway to Destruction
Doorway to Destruction
Kelvin Martin has built a machine that can bend space and carry a traveler into another universe. But his expedition brought him face to face with a powerful alien race whose friendly welcome concealed a terrifying purpose—and whose weapons could place Earth at their mercy.
Now Martin is bound inside his own laboratory while his greedy assistant, Jon Vance, prepares to activate the machine. Vance sees only unimaginable wealth in the jewels and technology of the alien world, dismissing every warning that its inhabitants are cruel, cunning, and determined to learn everything about humanity.
With the machine humming and no one else who understands its workings, Martin must find a way to stop Vance before the doorway opens again. If the aliens reclaim the device, an invasion may be only a journey across the stars away.
