Description

A curious blend of Victorian intrigue and early science unfolds when a brilliant orphan, Faraday Little, is placed under the guardianship of the austere Baron Raby. The boy’s uncanny inventions—telescope at seven, a flying contraption by nine—set him at odds with his new family's rigid expectations of gentlemanly conduct. Meanwhile, the sharp‑tongued Jael, a lady of the house, tries to defend his unconventional spirit against the baron's disdain.

Tension spikes when Faraday spotlights a dangerous bout of nightshade consumed by a mischievous young lady at the neighboring Norwood Park. Using a garden hose and quick ingenuity, he rescues her, demonstrating that his scientific mind can be both a curiosity and a lifesaver. The episode deepens the clash between his rational, experimental approach and the old‑world values that dominate the estate, hinting at further conflicts to come.
