Description

In the shadowed alleys of 1634 Paris, a bewildered Scottish stranger stumbles through the winding streets of the Rue d’Ecosse, his night lit only by the flicker of oil lamps and the distant toll of Notre‑Dame’s bells. The city’s grim architecture and whispered rumors of murder set a brooding tone, drawing the listener into a world where every corner might hide danger or destiny.

Soon the wanderer finds himself entangled with the flamboyant French court and its famed Hundred Cuirassiers, a regiment of daring cavalrymen whose reputation for reckless bravery is matched only by their love of duels. Amid lavish banquets, secret liaisons, and the ever‑present specter of war, he must navigate intrigue with historical figures such as the Vicomte de Turenne while proving his own mettle in sword‑play and strategy.

The tale blends vivid historical detail with swash‑buckling adventure, offering a portrait of a restless spirit confronting the turbulence of Louis XIII’s France. Listeners will feel the clash of steel, the lace of aristocratic intrigue, and the lingering mystery of a man caught between two worlds.
