In the rust‑red dunes of the Isidis Desert, a small rebel squad gathers under a bruised twilight, each man cloaked in a marsuit and a secret. Their commander, Jonner, wrestles with a cryptic “Plan Blue” that could be the last hope for a rebellion cornered by the iron grip of Marscorp. As groundcars hiss like beetles across the sand, the uneasy alliance is forced to confront a hidden threat—one of their own may be a spy.
The group’s grim task is to seize a captured Marscorp G‑boat, board an unknown orbiting vessel, and wrest control of the mysterious “Egg,” an ovoid space station that could turn the tide. With supplies exhausted and evacuation orders looming for the doomed cities of Regina and Charax, every decision teeters between desperate ingenuity and fatal betrayal. Listeners are drawn into a tense, sand‑whipped standoff where trust is scarce and the fate of a whole planet hangs in the balance.

A veteran newspaperman who also became a prolific science fiction writer, he brought a reporter’s eye for detail to stories about alien worlds, future societies, and human nature. His work ranges from brisk adventure to thoughtful speculation, with a long career that stretched well beyond the magazine era of 1950s SF.
