Dick and Doc are two fourteen‑year‑old cousins who look so alike they’re called the Tarzan Twins. One was born in England, the other in America, and their mothers are twin sisters, which explains their uncanny resemblance. Their schoolmates tease them for not living up to the adventurous nickname, prompting the boys to throw themselves into sports and physical challenges to prove they can be as daring as the legendary ape‑man.
Determined to earn the name, the twins train hard, becoming strong and agile while their grades slip a bit. Their efforts pay off when a surprising letter arrives—Tarzan himself has invited them to spend two months on his African estate. Excitement bubbles over as they imagine jungle treks, swinging vines, and the chance to meet the famous hero who shares their family’s distant lineage.
