David Loring is a struggling artist whose days revolve around paint, dust‑covered knick‑knacks, and the promise of a future with Janice, the woman he’s planning to marry. One ordinary morning, the routine chimes of his apartment are shattered by a sudden, insistent knocking, and a strange, otherworldly presence forces its way into his life. An ethereal woman, whose scent overwhelms him, collapses in his bedroom while a glowing saucer hovers silently above the city, leaving David breathless and unsure of what is real.
As David tries to piece together the bizarre encounter, the familiar comforts of his cramped Greenwich Village flat clash with the uncanny. The alien’s trembling sobs and the inexplicable surveillance suggest a hidden agenda, while Janice’s predictable pattern of knocks hints at a deeper connection to the mystery. Caught between ordinary love and an impossible visitation, Loring must decide whether to cling to his plans or confront a reality that suddenly feels far larger than his canvas.
