Whilst father was fighting

In wartime Bristol, two brothers find themselves holed up in a cramped attic while their father fights on the front lines. Ten‑year‑old Bob looks after his younger sibling Jackie, who is terrified of the darkness and of Aunt Martha’s harsh discipline.
