A fierce winter storm drives a small band—three men and a young woman—into the remote wilderness, where a desperate trek leads them to a hidden hermit’s hut. When the tempest reaches its peak, the group is whisked away from Earth and deposited on Rondah, a tiny, still‑forming star whose surface is a landscape of volcanic vents and steaming seas. The star is already home to strange, winged inhabitants who spend the long, cold winters in a deep, communal sleep, while their daytime life revolves around massive, pod‑like vegetables. Over the course of thirty‑three years, the strangers must adapt to an alien rhythm, navigating love, jealousy and the ever‑present danger of a world that is not yet ready for human life.
Back on Earth, the heroine, left behind at the storm’s edge, eventually finds her way to the star herself, joining the others in their extraordinary existence. Together they explore the enigmatic Sun Island, a place of dazzling marvels that tests both their courage and their hearts. The story blends adventure, romance and mystery, inviting listeners to imagine what it means to survive—and thrive—on a world that is both beautiful and perilously unfamiliar.
