Peacemaker

A lone human, Flicker, awakens strapped to a cold metal pallet aboard an alien spacecraft, his senses assaulted by scorching light and the sour stench of extraterrestrials. Though his body is immobilized, his mind races to seize a fleeting chance of telepathic contact, hoping to make the hostile beings understand his purpose. The alien crew, communicating through a complex sound‑based language, floods his thoughts with a single, chilling directive: kill the intruder.

As the ship hurtles through the void, Flicker senses a split among the three alien captors, each weighing the risk of keeping him alive against their instinct to destroy.
