Bumps and His Buddies

Bumps is a rotund, accident‑prone boy who lives in a modest countryside hut with his mother. Though his days are filled with chopping wood and gathering berries, he dreams of finding a pot of gold to lift his family out of poverty. One sunrise he kisses his mother goodbye, tucks a rabbit’s foot for luck into his pocket, and sets off toward the city, his little legs already aching from the long trek.

Along the dusty road he spares a brown rabbit from a stray stone, and the shy creature immediately becomes his loyal companion. The pair share a hidden picnic basket the rabbit uncovers, and later the clever bunny distracts a hungry bear, leading the monster into a trapped hole and saving Bumps from danger. With a new friend at his side, Bumps continues his journey, his heart lighter and his hopes brighter than ever.
