When a routine geological survey in the remote Millsport Range turns into an unexpected encounter, a lone field worker finds himself holding a strange, squirming alien captive in a makeshift wooden cage. The creature's frantic warnings of imminent retaliation set the stage for a tense night as darkness spreads over the barren hills. Granger must decide whether to keep the creature imprisoned and risk an alien response, or to gamble on a fragile truce.
As the alien’s eerie green glow illuminates the landscape, more of its kind emerge from the surrounding brush, their intentions unclear. With only a rifle and his wits, Granger faces a battle of logic and survival, trying to outmaneuver a foe that claims to act only on pure reason. The story teeters between suspense and uneasy humor, pulling listeners into a high‑stakes standoff that could decide the fate of both worlds.
