In the dim, twisting alleys of Karr’s Lower City, a fugitive named Red Angus darts past the glowing towers of the Citadel, pursued by the Diktor’s relentless police. The city is built over the mysterious Black Pools, dark wells that locals whisper may house an ancient god or the planet’s very heart. Beneath the surface, a secretive order of scientists—known as the Hierarchy—guards knowledge that could change everything.
Angus, once a noble of Karr, has become a lone space pirate, vowing to topple the tyrant Stal Tay, who rules under the guise of the deity Stasor. When a cloaked Hierarchic priest offers him a chance to hear a hidden truth, Angus must decide whether to trust the very institution the regime has used to control the populace. The stakes rise as he learns of a 50,000‑year‑old secret that could turn the oppressive iron guard into dust.
As he descends into the hidden chambers, Angus confronts both his haunted past and the Citadel’s iron grip. The story invites listeners into a clash of myth and technology where one man's daring could spark rebellion.
